About Us
Mount Olivet School Kumasi
Our Story
It all began with one woman’s vision of a stimulating and homely setting for young children to become active learners while their mothers were at work.
From a single child in 1996 to several hundred today, and with a staff of more than 90. Mount Olivet has grown to be a caring community which still places learning at the heart of all operations.
Everyday at Mount Olivet School is like a blessing with the active students and talented staff members around.

Our Philosophy
We, at Mount Olivet School, follow a child centered educational approach. We make sure that it is based on scientific observations from birth to adulthood. We believe that a child is naturally curious and is capable of initiating learning in a supportive and thoughtfully prepared environment.
What makes us Special?
We care for each other, are honest with each other and respect our differences. We have a strong and consistent Positive Behaviour Policy and strive to practice Logical Consequence to good effect. We take responsibility for our actions, thoughts and decisions; understanding that our choices have consequences. We build strong links with families and have a supportive parent body. We are a community in our own right. Children, Parents, the PTA, Partners, Suppliers, Associates and Local Residents are all interconnected. We believe that "Learning is Our Language" and actively encourage a love of learning, through play, from an early age.
